About Steve...

Steve arrived in Little Rock, AR in 1966 via St. Vincent Hospital. Two years later, he and his mother survived the Hong Kong Flu. Seven years after that, he survived the wrath of his mother when she found out he had missed 3 weeks of 4th grade by faking a tonsillectomy, telling his teacher by phone there were “complications” and he would be out for a few weeks. Steve claimed that dark storm was much more difficult than fighting the Hong Kong Flu. During his teenage years, Steve, his mother and his best friend Sam Coulter moved to Wye Mountain, AR where he prepared for his next significant battle...figuring out how to fit in at East End High School. He and Sam wore the oldest clothes they could find that first day in preparation for a fight, being city boys and all. Not only did Steve survive that day, but he found his home, his community, his family. Steve loved Bigelow almost as much as he loved his mom and Cavendar’s Seasoning, and although he returned to Little Rock for work as a young adult, he got back to God’s Country as quickly as he could and never left again

In 1985, Steve decided to serve his country by joining the Navy. He re-enlisted three times and over the course of seven years, he got to see a lot of the world including the Philippines, Thailand, Australia and other exotic locals. He returned home to Arkansas and served two years in the US Naval Reserve. Steve worked in pool maintenance and security until he found his calling as everyone’s favorite bug man.

Of Steve’s many accomplishments, he was most proud of serving as President and Charter Member of the Last Resort Hunting Club, earning the Triple Trophy Award, followed closely by holding the title of Arkansas Poker Champion, and that time he made a hole-in-one. He had the distinction of quarterbacking his flag football team to victory to beat the five-time national champions, Bud Light. In addition, Steve also owned and operated the best pest and wildlife control services Central Arkansas has ever known.
